Orbit Transfer Optimiser (OTO)

JAQAR's NEW Orbit Transfer Optimiser is available for downloading. The Orbit Transfer Optimiser is a tool to optimise trajectories between two orbits around a single planet. A maximum number of three impulses is allowed. Any celestial body of the Solar System can be chosen as central body.

A summary of the features of the Orbit Transfer Optimiser:

The tool is intended for use in feasibility studies of space missions but can be applied to later phases in the design as well where the Orbit Transfer Optimiser could provide an initial guess for detailed numerical orbit optimisation. An STK/Astrogator mission control sequence is created for fast conversion to numerical propagation.

Some examples are given in the user manual: a Mercury orbit insertion, a transfer to a descent orbit, a Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) to Geostationary Orbit (GEO) transfer, and a bi-elliptic transfer optimisation to the Moon.

The program runs under Windows 98 or higher environment, and was developed by JAQAR.
